About

I am David S. I build data tools for SEO and marketing research and publish them as Apify Actors.

What I do

I run a set of public Actors on Apify under the publisher name doesaiknow — tools for keyword data, competitor research, AI search visibility and YouTube and Amazon research. The current count and its source are in the box above.

Building and pricing those Actors taught me most of what ends up on this site: what scraping and SEO APIs really cost, which pipelines survive production, and where n8n, Apify and AI models fit together.

How I write

  • Every guide is based on a run I did myself, with the date of the test.
  • If a tool on this site links to one of my Actors, I say so. I do not review competitors' tools without testing them.
  • Corrections are welcome — see Contact.

This domain

pavatar.com was the home of the Pavatar protocol from 2006 to 2011, created by Jeena Paradies — I had nothing to do with it. After the project ended the domain expired, and I acquired it on 15 January 2024. In 2024–2025 I ran a generic tech blog here; it did not fit what I actually work on, so I removed it and those addresses now return “410 Gone”. Since 2026 the site is what you see now. The Pavatar archive documents the protocol's history.
